Life, Edited has largely looked outward—at places, people, family. This month, something shifted. After a month in Tokyo, a reflection on ikigai, identity, and learning to carry that version of yourself home.

It is rare—genuinely rare—that I leave an exhibition still carrying it hours later, turning it over and over until the only way through is to write. Ron Mueck's exhibition at the Mori Art Museum was that kind of rare.
