Welcome to The Edit—a collection of personal essays, observations, and photography about life as it is: beautiful, complicated, funny, occasionally messy, and always changing.
Each entry is an Edit, a closer look at something worth noticing. Friendship and family. Travel and home. Growing older and knowing ourselves better. The things we carry, the things we let go, and the small pleasures that make an ordinary day feel like something more.
Some Edits ask questions. Some tell stories. Others simply stop long enough to notice something I don't want to forget.
These stories may begin with me, but so much of what we feel, question, carry, and celebrate is shared. I hope you'll find something here that speaks to you, too.
THE EDIT
Edit 52: Turning the Lens Around
Life, Edited has largely looked outward—at places, people, family. This month, something shifted. After a month in Tokyo, a reflection on ikigai, identity, and learning to carry that version of yourself home.
Edit 47: Reflected
It is rare—genuinely rare—that I leave an exhibition still carrying it hours later, turning it over and over until the only way through is to write. Ron Mueck's exhibition at the Mori Art Museum was that kind of rare.
