Shots, Shots, Shots

Testing out a new lens on a rainy, overcast day meant random shots from around the house from different distances, at different times of day. This meant plenty of shadows with depth and shades of light to play in. A gray day turned out to be one of the better teachers I've had lately. Sometimes the light you're working with is exactly the light you need. It's the kind of focus I've been thinking a lot about lately—what Shūchū is teaching me.

What have you been experimenting with lately—in photography or otherwise? I'd love to hear.
